CoreStorage does not have a driver either. It is unlikely that there will be a Windows APFS driver. The HFS+ volume shown in BC Control Panel is not discovered using AppleHFS.sys/AppleMNT.sys. There is a workaround for HFS+, but none for CoreStorage or APFS. With APFS having existed for developers for more than a year now, this does not bode well. 3rd-party workarounds are few and far between, and do not seem to be well supported. Also, when selecting a startup disk via the Boot Camp control panel, APFS startup volumes are NOT visible. As of the date of this posting, there is currently no Apple-provided APFS driver-regardless of the Windows OS version installed with Boot Camp. There are documented workarounds for the missing Apple functionality, as well as the 3rd-party solution MacDrive.Ģ.
